The challenge

Bramleys is a contemporary British restaurant located inside the Orchard Hotel at the University of Nottingham. Following a full refurbishment earlier this year, the venue was repositioned to offer a refined-yet-relaxed dining experience, welcoming locals, students, and hotel guests alike.

Our challenge was to establish Bramleys as a distinctive, stand-alone brand with its own digital presence, separate from the wider Nottingham Venues site. Most importantly, the new website needed to reflect the restaurant’s core values: seasonal British produce, timeless comfort dishes, and stylish dining that feels effortlessly accessible.

A tastefully crafted online experience

We were provided with the existing logo and core colour palette and took it from there, crafting a unique digital identity that brought the brand story to life online. To complement the physical space and menu, we introduced hand-drawn illustrations inspired by ingredients on the Bramleys menu, including, of course, the namesake Bramley apple.

Every element of the website was designed to reflect the restaurant’s character: clean, calm, and welcoming with touches of warmth. Subtle animations, organic lines, and bespoke visuals were used to create an experience that mirrors the feeling of dining at Bramleys.

Restaurant brand awareness starts with a stunning site

The website content was written and structured to pull out Bramleys’ key USPs, from its focus on British produce and seasonal ingredients, to its sustainable kitchen ethos and inclusive atmosphere. The site was integrated with the hotel’s third-party booking platform, ensuring users could seamlessly book a table while keeping the journey feeling consistent and on-brand.

A standout social strategy

As part of the Bramleys relaunch, we’ve supported the restaurant with a tailored social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. In line with the website and brand refresh, the social content focuses on showcasing Bramleys’ seasonal dishes, relaxed yet refined interiors, and commitment to British produce, all designed to grow engagement and drive bookings. From behind-the-scenes kitchen staff clips, to high-quality food photography and trending Reels, our approach highlights Bramleys as a must-visit dining destination in Nottingham, open to everyone.

With a solid brand foundation, a website designed to grow, and multiple well engaged social channels, Bramleys is now positioned as more than a hotel restaurant, it's a local dining destination in its own right.

"We wanted Bramleys to feel like a place people could discover and fall in love with, even if they weren’t staying at the hotel. The Rawww team have really helped us achieve that, they have created a website that perfectly reflects who we are and why people keep coming back. We’ve loved working with the whole team on this project, and are looking forward to continuing our working relationship."
