Initiative user experience design
A campaign to empower a police workforce
Informative campaign to help frontline officers
Warwickshire Police, a forward thinking regional police force, wanted to enhance its digital services to better serve communities, staff, and partners. With a focus on driving performance and increasing efficiency through data-driven decision making, they wanted to launch the Nexus app, a “super app” designed to integrate various Power Apps into a single, user-friendly platform. The challenge was to generate excitement and secure buy-in among frontline officers and the wider workforce, making the app an indispensable tool in their daily operations.
One of the key objectives was to reduce resistance to change and demonstrate how Nexus could streamline processes, improve data quality, and make everyday tasks more accessible.
To tackle this, our approach centered on creating a more intuitive user experience design for their Nexus app, this included a refined logo and iconography, appealing to the needs of Warwickshire Police officers and staff.
Animated teasers and informative videos, featuring a voice over artist, were created to highlight the app’s key features and its ability to simplify workflows. By using a blend of creative and informative content, we helped break down barriers to educate the frontliners about the app’s benefits and generated excitement for its potential impact.
The campaign was designed to show the Nexus app not only as a tool for operational efficiency but also as a means to empower officers and staff. Through clear messaging, we emphasised how the app would bring the force into the future, with the handwritten element showcasing how Nexus will make their jobs easier, by reducing time spent on manual tasks and improving access to important data.
Throughout the process, we worked closely with Warwickshire Police to ensure that our messaging aligned with their goals and values. The feedback from the senior team and wider police force was overwhelmingly positive, with key stakeholders praising the clear communication and engaging visuals that helped bring the app to life.
