The Huddle

The challenge

The Huddle Restaurant was born when the Allianz Stadium, an impressive sporting and events venue based in Twickenham which serves as the home of England Rugby, decided to invest in a remodel of their food and beverage offerings as part of a wider refresh of their in-stadium Radisson Red hotel. The old restaurant and events spaces were completely renovated and rebranded into The Huddle, a versatile food and drinks venue offering friendly, dine-in restaurant services as well as late-night events at their upstairs bar and private-hire facilities for exclusive celebrations.

Sporting a fresh new interior and a versatile, community-focussed outlook, The Huddle now needed a digital presence that would support their rebrand and market the restaurant as a warm and welcoming communal spot open to all demographics, not just rugby fans – from work colleagues in search of the perfect meeting space to families and friends catching up over drinks and good food. That’s where Rawww stepped in, creating a complete restaurant website design which captured the essence of The Huddle’s versatility and community spirit as well as providing a data-led, SEO-informed content and messaging strategy to help them reach their target audience.

The Huddle

Helping The Huddle to reach a wider local audience

When The Huddle approached Rawww, they faced a unique set of challenges. The restaurant’s location within Allianz Stadium meant it had historically been associated primarily with rugby match days and die-hard fans; however, with their new rebrand and refurbishment, The Huddle wanted to reposition themselves as a destination in their own right – a place where the local community could gather for any occasion, regardless of what was happening on the pitch.

Adding to the complexity was the variety of offerings under The Huddle’s roof: an all-day dining restaurant, an upstairs bar hosting late-night events such as open mic nights and live music, and private-hire capabilities for celebrations, meetings, and small conferences. Each of these elements needed its own dedicated digital presence whilst maintaining a cohesive, overarching brand identity. The challenge was to create a website that could clearly communicate each offering, guide visitors to the right information, and ultimately convert interest into bookings, all without overwhelming the user.

There was also the question of brand separation. Although The Huddle sits within the Radisson Red hotel, they were keen to establish a distinct identity that moved away from the typical ‘hotel dining’ perception. They wanted guests to see The Huddle as a standalone destination in its own right, with its own unique character and appeal.

Creating a restaurant website design to suit The Huddle’s unique identity

Our approach to The Huddle’s restaurant website design centred on developing a messaging strategy that felt genuinely community-focused, rather than leaning too heavily into rugby imagery and terminology. We crafted copy and visuals that positioned the venue as an open, welcoming space for everyone, with a warm and inclusive tone that speaks directly to local Twickenham residents, families, and professionals looking for a quality dining experience or event space.

We structured the website so that each aspect of The Huddle’s offering had its own dedicated section, complete with tailored content, relevant FAQs, and specific calls to action. Whether a visitor was looking to book a table for Sunday lunch, enquire about hosting a birthday party, or discover what live entertainment was coming up, they could navigate easily to the information they needed without getting lost in content that wasn’t relevant to them.

One element we were particularly keen to highlight was The Huddle’s commitment to sustainability and community giving. For example, the restaurant has its own honey bees on-site, so we ensured that the honey they produced was championed in their menu offerings and on their sustainability page. These values resonate strongly with modern diners and helped attract a new audience who prioritise ethical and sustainable practices when choosing where to eat. By weaving these stories throughout the website, we gave The Huddle additional talking points that set them apart from competitors.

When translating the brand into the digital space, we ensured The Huddle had its own distinct look and feel separate from Radisson Red. The hotel is mentioned only in the footer and ‘how to find us’ sections, allowing the restaurant to stand on its own merits. The design incorporates bespoke animations and visual flourishes that bring personality to the user experience, making the site feel dynamic and engaging rather than static and functional.

Helping The Huddle to reach diverse local communities and expand their audience

A beautiful website is only effective if people can find it, however, which is why our work for The Huddle extended beyond just website design into a comprehensive SEO and content strategy. We conducted thorough keyword research to identify the terms and phrases that The Huddle’s target audiences were actively searching for, then optimised every page of the site to improve visibility for those queries.

Our copywriting focused on natural, engaging language that incorporated relevant keywords without feeling forced, robotic, or overly stuffed. From the homepage to individual service pages, every piece of content was crafted to serve both the user and the search engines: informative and compelling for visitors, whilst structured to perform well in organic search results.

The results speak for themselves. Within the first quarter of the new site going live, The Huddle saw a 111% increase in organic search visibility, with their restaurant website SEO strategy driving significantly more traffic from local and relevant searches. Month-on-month, traffic grew by 50%, whilst table bookings increased by 38%, a clear demonstration that the new digital presence was converting visitors into paying guests. Engagement rates across the site have been above average, indicating that users are finding the content relevant and their digital experience enjoyable.
