Yep, you heard us right, we’re in JustGiving’s top 5% of fundraisers for 2015. It all began in September last year, when we grabbed our hiking boots and climbed the country’s highest mountain, Snowdon.
Why, you ask? Well, we wanted to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in spectacular style, and we decided that raising some serious cash for the local charity, Zoe’s Place, would be the very best way.
Zoe’s Place is a charity that provides palliative, respite and end-of-life care for babies and infants up to five years of age, who are suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Sadly, Zoe’s Place doesn’t receive very much funding, and relies heavily on the support of fundraisers (like us) to provide them with the help they so desperately need.
Well, all of our hard work paid off, and by the end of our fundraising, we’d raised a whopping £1,606.74! And, when you compare this to our £500 target, it’s pretty impressive. To celebrate our achievements, JustGiving have announced that we’re in the top 5% of 2015’s fundraisers – that’s the top 5% out of 532,124!
We couldn’t have predicted how much we’d achieve, but now that we have the fundraising bug, we can’t wait to get started on another charitable challenge. So, if you have any charities that are close to your heart, let us know, and we’ll see how we can support them in 2016.
