We use the finest Scottish ingredients at Prestonpans
Prestonpans is a small village on the beautiful coast of East Lothian. Each day at our picturesque shop, we prepare all our food fresh, from peeling our chips and making our own pizza dough to receiving deliveries of fresh fish from our local suppliers. Our delicious pasta dishes, burgers, kebabs, and fish are cooked to order, giving our customers a high-quality and personal delivery.
As a family-run business, fish and chips are at the heart of what we do at Prestonpans. We’ve grown our network of trusted local farmers and fishermen over the years to ensure we deliver quality Scottish ingredients to our customers. We even have Italian suppliers for our pizza and pasta ingredients, so our produce is always sourced from suppliers as passionate as us.

The tale of Greyfriars Bobby
Sitting across from the Greyfriars Bobby Statue and surrounded by a fascinating history, our Gelato shop dates back to the 1850s. The tale begins with police officer John Gray, who adopted a furry Terrier friend named Bobby during his time as a watchdog. Forming a strong bond, the pair were seen through the cobbled streets of Edinburgh often stopping by at Alandas Gelato’s former 19th-century building, the Trail’s Temperance Coffee House Cafe, for something to eat.
However, when John died in 1858, Bobby showed his loyalty by refusing to leave his master’s grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard until he passed away himself. A statue now stands just outside our Gelato shop, preserving a piece of Edinburgh's heritage for future generations.
